Just after i graduated my diploma in Architecture UTM KL for 3 years, now im stepping into another stage in my life just to get the feel and taste of;

the real world.

I thought of doing practical training just before going for my degree to be more prepared to excel in the next phase of my studies.

So as i wanted to gain more experience and exposure, it is best for me to learn from the best of the best.

..and my application to Hijjas Kasturi Associates Sdn. was not a let down. Alhamdulillah.

"....its about making a compact building which have higher efficiency and giving more for the public by minimizing the footprint n provide an urban park for the people of bangsar. just like a technology of microchip, which developed smaller and smaller everyday yet having more and more functions to it. the "BICO chip" is about to 'plugged in' into a 'motherboard(Bangsar)' and power up a rapid development and generates Creative Intelligence as the outcome. the internal planning is inspired by the complexity of the microchip which have smaller components and circuit inside it."

This song was written in the year 2005 and recorded in year 2007. The lead guitar and the arrangement was done by my VIPB brother, Faeez(aka lalat). Recorded inside prefects room at that time (sorry for the bad quality of sound). The inspiration i got for this song is from my old friend, Merrizki. This song is magical. i wrote the lyrics and played the song simultaneously in just 10 minutes. but it took a long time to ripe and mature until it become as it is now. It is magical in the sense of it suits anyone who are listing the song. The title itself could be interpreted depending on the listener's situation.

"dream of me" could suits;

those who are deeply in love.
those who are hoping for someone to love them.
those who are missing someone far.
those who cant get someone he/she wants.
those feeling sad.
happy.
angry.
dissapointed.

okay. i could say, this is the most satisfying wedding photography id ever did.

The ceremony took place at my grandparent's house in Kok Lanas, Kelantan which always be one of the exciting highlights every year going back for Hari Raya.

Having the perfect setting of an almost pure rural village, its a must-not-missed outdoor photography.

Moreover, both my cousin Hidayah and our new family member Wie were very-very photogenic and every instructions were done splendidly with the addition of their own creativity.

SHAH JAHAN.

Visiting the place myself had opened my heart to experience the true meaning of eternal love.

I'd been having this misconception on what Shah Jahan did and who was him all this while. All because of my short of knowledge.I was told on how bad he is killing a lot of innocent people, forcing the people to build the building for his own benefit and what not. But now, i totally understand about the true concept of this wonder, TAJ MAHAL.

The truth is, the building was not built to show the glory of his beloved wife Mumtaz. He is actually supplying literally eternal love her. He built this wonder after the wife's death of giving birth to invite all people from around the world to come to this place to remember the Almighty God. The building were carved with Quranic verses all over the building with splendid works of beautiful marbles. He loves Mumtaz all his heart and wants the best for her. Intentionally, he wants everyone who came here to read all the Quran verses to his beloved wife, Mumtaz as an eternal supply after death.

and that is the true eternal love.

sem05. "Activating Nature" an ECO-Retreat.

In Malaysia, the nature consist of patterns that produce ‘common experience” that makes people ’taken it for granted.

to teach people to be more ‘ECO-CONCIOUS// by revealing the ’sense of place’ of our unique and precious rainforest, specifically the PENANG NATIONAL PARK.

Giving them excitement, anticipation and amazement for them to experience and remember by providing facilities and opportunity to observe and participate in the ecosystem.

ECO-RETREAT is an info center, a place to educate and a place to be inspired. Located inside a the Penang National Park, the protected rainforest jungle which are still exist in an natural ecosystem without much intervention. The site have a lot of interestingness that is very precious.

Okay, this is the product of our 5th semester Measured Drawing project. After months of hard works, everything is now almost completed and completely worth it. Congratulation to Syahmi being the group leader, Wan Bad as CAD leader, Aban as the model leader

and not to forget the rest of the class who had done a very splendid job.

As for me, im very proud to be the part of the team doing a project of my own school. There is so much more things we can learn from this historical building. The school contain rich cultural, heritage and traditions that are really valuable and should be conserve.

Id started drawing portrait since form 3. I just realized that i have the capability to do so then.
I was inspired by my close cousin Hafidz. Since im 6 years old, i was just able to sit around watching him draw so wonderfully.He started off drawing comic characters and then we started our comic projects where i wrote the storyline and he will draw it. every school holidays we will be doing lots of projects. however, he was no longer interested in doing comics, but portraiture instead. My role as writter was gone. getting bored just seeing him drawing, i tried. i still remember drawing Afdlin Shauki that time when i realized "eh! i can draw!".
n thats when it all started.

Since then, we were really into this field of arts...we venture in charcoal, acrylic, and soft pastel...our sifu for that time was my dad and Aris central market..my dad even bought us a whole set of Rembrandt pastel for us. We made quite some pocket money receiving orders for anniversaries, weddings, and other celebrations.

Semester_05 had started. ini adalah kata2 yg datang dari aku sahaj.

Masa berlalu sangat2 cepat. Tau-tau dah final year dip dah...masih igt lagi mula2 masuk dlu kat studio lama yang dah diroboh. pindah ke studio kayu. ke studio batu. n studio batu lagi. n lagi skali studio batu. yang paling best, tempat yg same lak tuh....-.- haha...takpe..this sem, kita dah paling senior. dapat alik studio kayu alik. :)

Masih igt jugak dulu...masa zaman kerja2 kita boleh dibanggakan oleh lecturer-lecturer kita dulu...masa kita semua semangat sgt experimental macam2...kita sendiri pon puas hati dengan kerja2 kita sendiri...semester_02, waktu kemuncak kita suma.

Tapi...taktau kenapa menjelang sem_03, kita punya keje suma macam dah menurun kualiti...mungkin bkn semua, tapi aku dapat rasa seluruh class macam dah hilang semangat ke ape taktau...site model kita tak penah siap...kerja2 lambat develop...salah aku sendiri jugak...sampailah last semester dimana lecturer ade berkata "im very dissapointed with u guys"...wow....tamparan hebat...aku sendiri pon dissapointed tgk kerja aku, ape lagi diorang...

Its time guys....its our final year....we need to do something...we are not gonna stay at the same level kan...? this needs effort and enthusiasm dari semua orang...takkanlah kita nak dilabel batch yang 'menjatuhkan nama ARCO'...senior2 sebelum ni dah bertungkus lumus bina nama...

Me myself nak mintak maaf kalau sebelum2 ni aku terlampau banyak cakap, tapi kerja tak gerak...aku sedar tu skang....im so sorry...n bagi sesape yang terasa hati ape aku cakap, or ape aku wat kat korang wat korang sakit hati, seikhlasnya aku mintak maaf and aku janji, aku akan tebus balik kesalahan aku dalam tahun terakhir kita ni. ill give my all for u guys this final year.

Kisah tentang sebuah keagungan tuhan. Subhanallah.
Kisah ini berlaku dihadapan rumah kami. Ada sekor burung buat sarang kat puncak chinese bamboo pasu yang kami letakkan kat situ...dpt tgk progress dia wat sarang dr berterabur sampai la jadi makin kemas tiap2 hari...ni gambar hari kedua dah...

salah satu benda paling mengagumkan ialah bagaimana tuhan dah bagi kesempurnaan dimana burung itu meletakkan sekeping plastik di bahagian paling bawah sarang itu (ala-ala waterproofing).

Tersangatlah excited bila masetu beberapa hari lepas tu ade sebijik telur kecil berwarna coklat gelap dalam sarang tu...

keesokan harinya tu, sebiji lagi telur telah memenuhi sarang itu.

untuk beberapa hari, kelihatan ibu kepada telur-telur itu mula mengeram. Bila sahaja kami membuka pintu rumah, burung itu akan lari dari sarangnya.

setelah masuk hari ke 5 burung itu telah mula mengeram sepenuh masa. Burung itu tidak seminitpun meninggalkan sarangnya walau didekati. Tidak juga makan dan minum untuk beberapa hari untuk mengeram dan menjaga telur-telurnya.

dan akhirnya.....sebiji telah menetas. :)

.....dan sebiji lagi......:D

...sewaktu gambar ini diambil, mata anak burung itu masih lagi belum dibuka.... Setiap hari ibunya akan mencari makanan untuk disuapkan kepada anak-anaknya. kadangkala kami menggantungkan pisang berdekatan sarang untuk memudahkan ibu mereka...:)

....mereka akan mengangkat kepala apabila mendengar siulan kami menganggap ibunya memanggil. Sangat-sangat kagum dengan ciptaan Allah yang Maha Sempurna.

...dan subhanallah! alhamdulillah hari ni kami dirumah mendapat tetamu sekali
lagi....seekor lagi burung telah menapak membuat sarang di hadapan pintu
rumah yang sama! kini disebelah pokok yang identical di sebelah lagi
pula....methods of construction yang sama....! Alhamdulillah burung2 ini tidak serik bertandang ke rumah kami... =D

Kufi_Kube.

This is a derived kufi art...the 2D grid art was extended to form a perfect cube into 3D.This strengthen the similarity with architecture. It was started by Ahmad Hilmy Abdullah (my dad) with the ALLAH_MUHAMMAD_CUBE (above). All six sides are having equal 3 faces written ALLAH and also 3 faces written MUHAMMAD. The biggest challenge for this design is to meet up faces every edge. However, this challenge was proudly solved. so, i helped my father to build up the prototype for this design.

The basic material were 100 x 100mm polystyrene cube (readily cut and shaped) and polystyrene glue...

this in some of the latest sketches i did during last semester....these are old buildings in bangladesh...Prof. Mahbub, my class studio master asked for our help for his book...he gave us photos and ask us to draw it back in freehand...id developed my own sketching stroke while doing this drawings......

ok. now i want to share some bits of this interesting form of art. the SQUARE_KUFI. this piece up here is actually my first trial after months of theory learning through facebook with a community we called ourself F.O.K.S. (friends of kufi square), those who have the enthusiasm in this KUFI art. They have conference and discussion through facebook and develop this old form of art, and apply it with Jawi. theres 2 pioneer that i know now, Master Shukor and Sifu Ahmad Hilmy. They teach this SQUARE KUFI through facebook and number of students and KUFI enthusiast are increasing day by day. =) Its definitely a great step to revive our JAWI writing which fading away nowadays.

Some people may not know how to read this SQUARE_KUFI and a lot of my friends asked me on how to read it....ok, u need to read from BOTTOM RIGHT and turn CLOCKWISE. Some of the KUFIs especially the long one, u will need to read it UPSIDE DOWN when it turns and end up at the CENTER.

how i wish i got music education since my childhood.....masa kecik2 dulu takde penah terpikir nak betul2 masuk official piano class or violin class ke ape....i just realized i have the passion in music when i was in form 3...when my parents bought a guitar for my brother...it was his first guitar, and the first in the house! its a always a no-no if i ask for one before that...cause i never really seriously asked...end up, im the one who spent 90% of the time playing that guitar...and at last, i bought a guitar for myself, a Yamaha F-210. its now signed by PAPAROCK, RAMLI SARIP :).

Sungai Congkak, Hulu Langat trip.

Went for hulu langat last sunday during Thaipussam holiday with my family and auntie's family....We drop by to Uncle Anis's cafe, The Cafe @ Lui for late breakfast....he owned the land there and built his dreamhome on top of the hill with gardens, pool, gazeebo on a lake and his own cafe....he also opened his own Gallery Kelah, storing and breeding world's second smart fish the 'kelah'....a lot of rare species he got there......while my parents were talking with uncle anis and his family, i took some time to do this sketch.....The Cafe @ Lui....www.thecafe-at-lui.blogspot.com.

Then finally we went to Sungai Congkak..there were thousands of people camping along the way to our campsite at Selangor Tourism..it is located deep inside to the farmost and the top of Sungai Congkak....it was less people there which is better than what i saw earlier....we checked in to our chalet there....having picnic with the foods we bought and had so much fun at the river.....so this was the chalet we stayed...its really spacious....=)

haih...macam ni lah gamatnye rumah tiap2 hari masa dulu2....macam2 ragam masing2...ade yang nak jadi pelukis, ade yang nak menyanyi, ade yang cipta lagu, ade nak jadi arkitek, ade gak yang suka tulis puisi...tak kurang gak yang suka amik gambar permandanagan, gambar serangga, gambar portrait, suma jenis photography lar...haih..semua wat benda serious2..susah my parents nak layan kerenah kitorang nih...hehe....tapi sekarang sum dah gi blajar kat luar negara...dalam bidang masing2...

hahahaha....its the beauty of photo editing nowadays...the sky is the limit...you cannot 100% trust photos....even the transformers can be seems reality in the world we live today....this photo i did during my form 3...been using and experimenting with photoshop as early as standard 4....now im familiar with it and almost 90 of it id mastered..thx 4 my sifus!! =D

A table of an architect in the making....lolz!

taken after 8 hour straight concentrating developing my design and model of the "martial arts bandstand" project.....its a tiring yet a satisfying day cuz having a magnificent flow of creativity and ideas today.....so far this semester is REALLY going good! everything i did actually connecting and going towards with everything i targeted and following the concepts that i chose.....every decisions i made so far are right to the target...huhuhu.....learn a lot although its juz 1 month now....my skills are actually improved, drawings, detailing, concentration, tidiness, workmanship, all i can feel the change...hope i can improve more and more!..huhuhu....^^
